MORAL:

Most times the truth is hard to receive and people would prefer to listen to and accept a lie than the truth because it appeals to their sense of reasoning than the truth. The truth is always 'bitter' but it sets free. You may want to ask, 'What is truth?' The dictionary meaning of truth is 'a fact or a belief that is accepted as true' but I see it as whatever sets one free from bondage which is the opposite of a lie.

 

One major difference between truth and lie is that most times a lie is received with gladness in the short run but later on it damages and keep in bondage whoever accepts it but truth is difficult to accept in the short run but in the long run, it sets free and revive he that receives it.

The world today is full of lies told by people to confuse others for selfish reasons but it takes a man of understanding to do away with lies and accept the truth no matter how 'heart piercing' it may be. Lie is usually painted to suit the ears of the listener but truth most times is not refined and comes as 'it is' basis and that is the reason why so many people dread the truth and prefer to listen to lies instead.

In conclusion, always learn to accept the truth no matter how difficult it is to accept it and one of the ways you can do that is studying God's word, meditating and doing what it tells you to do because his word is truth and 'You will know the truth and the truth will set you free". John 8:32.

Goals are like compasses, that directs you on what to do and what not to do in order to meet your desired results in life. A man without a goal is as helpless as a car with no one to drive it. The difference between man and the animal in the bush is the ability of man to set down goals for himself, by so doing he is able to control his life, actions and purpose in life, no other animal does this which makes man superior to other animals. A goal should always be a dream with a deadline attached to it; a goal without deadline is merely a dream.

No matter who you are or the profession you are into, endeavor to set goals with deadline for yourself if you must succeed at what you do because without it, you will not get a desirable result at what you do. Below I am going to show you what each alphabet of the word GOAL means.

G: This stands for GO, that is you should decide in your mind what is it you want out of life or in your profession and 'Go' for that thing without any form of delay. The best time to do that is NOW.

O: This stands for ORGANIZATION. You must try as much as possible to arrange your goals (if they are more than one) in a sequential and orderly manner based on priority and scale of preference. The things that are of great importance to you should come at the top of the list while those of less importance can remain at the bottom. Organization is key in setting of goals, because if you are not organize, you will still not get favourable results at the end of the day. Also make sure your goals are written and clearly defined.

A: This stands for ATTAINABILITY. Your goals should be attainable, that is they should be realistic based on your present level. Do not get me wrong, all things are possible including the goals you set but some goal may seem unrealistic at a particular stage of your development. Take for example, you have not been to any school of Medicine and your first goal is to be employed as a medical doctor next week, that is actually an unrealistic goal and it is not attainable. What is attainable in this case is you going to school of Medicine first of all, graduate, before you can think of being employed as a medical doctor. In life you must start from some where, you don't just get to the top of a building without a staircase or a lift.

L: This stands for LIMIT. Your goal should have a well defined time limit between setting a goal and accomplishment of that goal. A goal without a time limit is merely a wish. You must state the time you want that goal to be accomplished and should be realistic. For example, you want to become the managing director of your company in the next four years, you can simply state 'In the year 2020, I will become the managing director of 'ABK Company'', and you start working towards its attainment starting from NOW.

MORAL:

The Dictionary defines happiness as an emotional and mental state of well being defined by a positive or pleasant emotion from contentment to inner joy. Happiness radiates from the inside and can be seen as an outward expression on the outside. True happiness comes from the heart, from your feelings and emotions. To be happy is to have an harmonious relationship with your inside man and not to be bordered on the negative influences around you.

You have in you, the power to either make yourself happy or sad, if someone does anything bad to you or you are faced with a difficult situation or task that weighs one down, just say to yourself, 'No matter what I am going through right now, I am very happy with myself'. You may ask, 'why should I lie to myself that I am happy when in every sense, I am not?', the truth is choosing to be sad at what you are going through right now would not change the situation but rather it will even make it worse. So it is better to say to yourself 'I am happy always', and by doing so continually, you tend to develop inner peace and assurance inside your inner man that radiates on the outside in expressions such as joy and laughter.

The world may be full of people with sad countenance as a result of the economic depression, everyone is complaining about the increasing hardship, the hunger, the pain they are going through but the truth is that complaining would not solve or change anything but rather it will weigh you down and even result to more problems. I know at a time it is good for one to air his feelings and to make others know what they are passing through but the best you can do for yourself right now is to keep on hoping and thinking positively, not negatively. Always say to yourself 'I am happy with myself no matter the situation of things right now, I know it will surely get better, I am grateful to God for keeping me alive  and I know he has better plans ahead for me', and as you do, believe and see it coming to pass, for surely it will come to pass.

In conclusion, good things never go to the unhappy man, it is the man that is constantly happy with himself no matter the situation he is going through that attracts blessings. Things are attracted to their kind, so therefore make it an habit to be happy always and your joy will never seize.
