Having a blog and running it on a customized or paid domain name and host is not really an easy task as it involves money, time and effort to put the pros and cons together in order to arrive at a well desired result for your blog. Having a blog has lots of potentials online irrespective of if it is a free domain or customized domain blog but when it comes to achieving a more desired result such as making money and exposure, there are certain things you must take out of your 'hat' of tricks and some of those things are what we are going to be looking at in this post.

To begin, first I will like to ask a simple question, which is; 'How long have you been a blogger and how much have you been able to make in blogging?' the odds is that lots of online blog owners have abandoned their blogs due to the fact that they are not making much income from blogging and the only tool they have in making money as far as blogging is concerned is Google Adsense. That is to say that the day Google refuse to pay, they end up winding with little or no money in their pulse. 1. Watch the Masters at work: Know it may sound out of the blues but watching the masters while at work is the best way to learn. There are several bloggers that have been in the business for years and have mastered the act of blogging. I agree that no one knows it all but as a beginner, it is always good to align yourself with someone who has been into the business before you, go through their blogs and signup for free news letters. Some blogs you can go through and learn from as a beginner are listed somewhere in this post.

2. Develop a reading habit: Reading exposes you to a whole lot of information in all areas of life. A good reader they say is  sure to be a leader. Same also go for blogging; if you are not a good a reader, you definitely are a 'bad' blogger. Learn to read books and several other blogs because whether you like it or not, the amount of knowledge you have in a particular area will influence your blog output. For example, if i decide to blog about daily football news updates, I will need to have a vast knowledge about football, the clubs and the players, this will make me blog easily about football in such a way that my audience will love what I do.

3. Socialize and interact with others: No one is an island of his own, the more you interact with others, most especially those that are into blogging with you, the more you gain exposure and the more you tend to learn from each others experience. Make it an habit to join online Forums such as Nairaland.com. Better still you can create social network groups on Facebook, Google+, StumbleUpon, Twitter and others. The aim of of having a social media account is to be able to relate with people and let them know what your blog is all about so that if they are convinced about it, they can subscribe to your blog and that means additional traffic to you.

4. Do not be too stingy with knowledge: Some persons are very stingy with what they know, they prefer to die with that knowledge inside of them than let it out for others to benefit. How disdainful I must say because whether you like it or not the thing you claim to know very well and you don't want others to know has already be known else where in some place and you are not the first to know it, so why not just share it with others. The truth is that if you fail to share what you know with others, what you know will be revealed by other means instead of you. Derive joy in sharing what you know to others, which is the whole essence of blogging.

5. Monetize your blog as much as you can: Google Adsense is available for beginners but like I say earlier, Google does not reward beginners in blogging but reward blogs with massive traffic. As a beginner, Google Adsense should be ruled off from your mind until you start having lots of traffic. There are other ways you can make money with your blog as a beginner such as marketing of ebooks, building of websites and blogs for others if you have knowledge of website design and programming and if your blog niche is related to that. HOW TO ADD CASCADE STYLE SHEET TO BLOGGER BLOG FOR BEGINNERS..

Blogging is one of the  lucrative online businesses you can startup with just little capital. The truth is that since the inception of blogging till now, a whole lot of blogs have been created and millions of these blogs are competing with each other on one particular thing, AUDIENCE. The world is full of people with negative mindset and believes, who always have negative thoughts about themselves, their surrounding and others. Mindset is very powerful, the kind of mindset you have will either shape your life positively or negatively. Many persons go through life not realizing that they are heading towards the negative direction of things. Subconsciously they do things and react in ways that are not beneficial to their life and the lives of others, they are confused about why others seem to do well and succeed much more than them but not until they realize and change their ways of thinking, they will never make any progress in life.

Sometimes you may come across difficult situations in life that makes you want to give up on your set goals, you say to yourself 'I can't do this any longer' or 'I find it very difficult to continue doing this, think I should just quit and try something else', these are negative thoughts going through your mind at that point in time and if you allow those thoughts to occupy your mind continually, you will end up not making any progress in life. The only limitation between your success is your believe. When you believe you can, you will perform much better positively than believing you can't.

As a man thinks in his heart, so he is. Whatever you put into your heart as thoughts, tend to shape your life. If you are going through some negative situations at the moment, for example you just got sacked from your job or things are really not going well for you, check your thoughts carefully and do away with the negative ones, instead dwell on the positive and the positive will surely come to you. No mountain is too high for you to climb, no river too wide for you to cross, no distance too long for you to reach, no goal so difficult that you cannot accomplish, its all in the state of the mind, your mindset.

The sky is no starting point for succeeding when you decide to put your thoughts into good use, you will discover that you begin to focus on the right of things instead of the wrong, you begin to see the good side of others instead of the bad side, the way and manner you do things before would change when you start thinking positively and others will notice this change in you thereby attracting good things into your life. 

Also in the country or territory where you live, try not to complain on why everything seems to be going this way or that way, even when others try to put in their negative vibes into you, you do not give in to their negative thoughts or believe, for example, people are complaining that 'this government or that government is bad' or that 'there is so much hardship in the country and nothing good seems to be happening', these are negative vibes and you should not believe for a second that things are bad or that the economy is turning upside down but instead believe that things are getting better and it will definitely get better. The more you believe it will get better, the more it will be.

In conclusion, when you always say I can't at any point in time in your life, remember that by saying that, you end up in a 'can', that is you are stock in a position that you can't make progress. Always say I can even when what you are about to do look or seem difficult because 'I can' attitude will surely WIN and SUCCEED at the end of the day while the 'I can't' attitude will end up LOSING at the end of things.
